Flag Football Recap: Villa Park Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Villa Park's offense. They lost to the Edison Chargers on the road by a 14-0 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while the Chargers are ranked 45th).

The critical scores for Edison came from Addison Bond and Maddie Phung.

Villa Park's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Edison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Coming up, Villa Park will challenge La Serna at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Spartans 9.6, the Lancers 13.1) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Edison, they have already played their next matchup, a 37-18 win against Channel Islands on the 27th.
