After a string of four wins, Fannin County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 63-52 to the Gilmer Bobcats. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Jd Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Gilmer, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. Taylor's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Preston Mcvey, who went 6 of 10 en route to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Fannin County's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Gilmer, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

While Fannin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on December 30th.
