Baseball Recap: Paxton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Paxton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Pensacola Tigers on Wednesday.

Paxton's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Phillip Bearden, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Bearden hit this season.

Paxton's record is now 7-4. As for Pensacola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paxton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Laurel Hill at 6:30 p.m. on March 31st. As for Pensacola, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Pensacola Tigers take on L.E.A.D. Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. L.E.A.D. Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pensacola surely won't give up without a fight.
