Basketball Recap: Belleville East Comes Up Short

Belleville East and O'Fallon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Belleville East had to settle for second. They fell just short of the O'Fallon Panthers by a score of 63-60. The Lancers were up 39-25 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Belleville East has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-12 record this season. O'Fallon pushed their record up to 24-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Belleville East nor O'Fallon have any future games scheduled.
