Recap: C.H. Yoe Yoemen vs. Rockdale Tigers
After flying high against the McGregor Bulldogs last Friday, The C.H. Yoe Yoemen came back down to earth. C.H. Yoe's rough 47-21 loss to Rockdale on Friday might stick with them for a while. C.H. Yoe was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rockdale apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Despite the loss, C.H. Yoe had strong showings from Braylan Drake, who threw for 276 yards and a touchdown, and D'auntray Bradley, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown.
C.H. Yoe's loss was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 16-0 Franklin and 7-1 Little River Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games). As for Rockdale, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
C.H. Yoe will be playing at home against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Rockdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Little River Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Little River Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rockdale in Texas (Little River Academy is ranked 202nd, while Rockdale is ranked 420th).
