Basketball Recap: Patton Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Patton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the West Lincoln Rebels 62-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Despite the defeat, West Lincoln saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jackson Edwards dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaeden Steele, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Patton's record is now 2-0. As for West Lincoln, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patton will take on Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Lincoln, they will face off against Bunker Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
