Basketball Recap: Waverly Bulldogs vs. Southern Coffey County Titans

The Waverly Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Southern Coffey County 59-14 at home. That looming 59-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Waverly yet this season.

Despite the loss, Southern Coffey County still got an impressive performance from Karley Ohl, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 35.7% of Southern Coffey County's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Waverly's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Southern Coffey County, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Waverly will head out on the road to square off against the Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Classical is ranked 220th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 244th). As for Southern Coffey County, they will be playing at home against the Jets on Tuesday. Altoona-Midway comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
