Softball Recap: Wheeling Takes a Loss

Wheeling fell victim to Hersey and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 18-0 to the Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Wheeling has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Hersey, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-7.

Coming up, Wheeling will head out on the road to square off against Rolling Meadows at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Hersey, they will take on Stevenson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
