Recap: Lawrence County Cougars vs. Forrest County Agricultural Aggies
There's no place like home for The Lawrence County Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 36-31 victory over Forrest County Agricultural on Thursday. The win was just what Lawrence County needed coming off of a 41-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Ahmad Hardy was on fire: he rushed for 241 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Hardy is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kannon Cato, who rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Forrest County Agricultural's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Omarion Reed, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Csaszar, who rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Lawrence County's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Lawrence County will be playing at home against Mendenhall at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they will head out on the road to face off against Northeast Jones at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
