Soccer Game Preview: Hopkins vs. Maple Grove + How To Watch

The Hopkins Royals will square off against the Maple Grove Crimson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Thursday, Hopkins didn't have quite enough to beat New Prague and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Hopkins have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Maple Grove faced Buffalo in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Wednesday. The Crimson and the Bison finished up their game with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Maple Grove's first draw of the season.

Hopkins has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-2 record this season. Maple Grove's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-1.
