Basketball Game Preview: Penobscot Valley Howlers vs. Woodland Dragons

The Penobscot Valley Howlers will head out on the road to face off against the Woodland Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Wednesday, Penobscot Valley was beaten by Schenck 56-21. The matchup marked the Howlers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-51 heartbreaker at the hands of Shead.

Penobscot Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Everything came up roses for Penobscot Valley against Woodland in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 82-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Penobscot Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
