Flag Football Game Preview: Compton Tarbabes vs. Millikan Rams

Compton is 0-3 against Millikan since September of 2024 but things could change on Monday. The Tarbabes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 3:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Compton comes in on eight and Millikan on seven.

Compton will bounce into Monday's game after beating Long Beach Poly, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Tarbabes were the clear victors by a 31-7 margin over the Jackrabbits on Wednesday.

Compton found their leader in sophomore Miah Gibson, who threw for 208 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of her passes, and also rushed for 51 yards and one score on only five carries.

Compton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Audrey Baker and Ariel Willard were the leaders of the group effort as each produced two apiece. Willard has been hot recently, having also posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last three times she's played. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Millikan was fully in charge on Wednesday, breezing past St. Anthony 41-12. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.

Millikan's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Compton, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
