Football Recap: Des Moines North Comes Up Short

Des Moines North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Gilbert Tigers and fell 55-6. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Tigers are ranked 27th).

Des Moines North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Gilbert, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Des Moines North will host Bondurant-Farrar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gilbert, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Polk at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Comets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
