While Stratford's victory against Cypress Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans won by a run and slipped past the Rams 6-5. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Cypress Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Stratford will take on rival Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 3.6, the Mustangs 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
