Basketball Recap: Foshay Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Shomare' Gray and Peter Egwurube

Foshay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 55-43 to the View Park Knights.

Peter Egwurube and Shomare' Gray certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Egwurube dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards, while Gray posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Egwurube has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last nine times he's played. Julian Chavez was another key player, putting up four points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Foshay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for View Park, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Foshay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-54 victory against Middle College on the 22nd. As for View Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-22 win against Dymally on the 22nd.
