Pascagoula hasn't had much luck against Long Beach recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Pascagoula Panthers face off against Long Beach Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. Pascagoula is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Pascagoula fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Long Beach on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 8-7.

Ty'Mia Bell and Khyliyah Moore did some serious damage despite the final result: Bell scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Moore scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Bell has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dextiny Combs, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Pascagoula's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Long Beach, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.
