Softball Recap: South Rowan Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for South Rowan's offense. They came up short against the East Rowan Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The Raiders have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

South Rowan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cressley Patterson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

South Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for East Rowan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

South Rowan and East Rowan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Raiders will face off against Carson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (75 vs. 295). Meanwhile, East Rowan (ranked eighth) will meet Lake Norman Charter (ranked 232nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
