Softball Recap: South River's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, South River finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to Wardlaw Hartridge. The game marked the first time this season in which South River was not able to get on the board.

The loss snapped South River's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record. As for Wardlaw Hartridge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South River will square off against Perth Amboy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wardlaw Hartridge, they will take on South Amboy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Governors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.8 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
