Basketball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short

Cordova was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-43 loss at the hands of the West Point Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Warriors are ranked 20th).

Cordova's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9. As for West Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

While Cordova had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
