Basketball Game Preview: Jacksonville Cardinals vs. New Bern Bears

Having just played yesterday, the Jacksonville Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the New Bern Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Jacksonville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.

Jacksonville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Havelock just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 76-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (58), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, New Bern earned a 56-49 victory over Northside - Jacksonville on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

New Bern has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Jacksonville barely slipped by New Bern in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 63-62. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was New Bern's Jussan Wiggins, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards.
