Basketball Recap: Waterloo West Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Waterloo West had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Linn-Mar Lions 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wahawks have posted since January 29, 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Waterloo West, bringing their record for this year to 9-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for Linn-Mar, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.

As of now, neither Waterloo West nor Linn-Mar have any future games scheduled.
