First Coast Christian and Eagle's View are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Knights will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. First Coast Christian has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

First Coast Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Harvest Community on Thursday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 20-1. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Eagle's View fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Stanton on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 14-13. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Raghan Beckham put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over 7.2 innings while giving up five earned (and eight unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.

In other batting news, Savana Clifton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored five runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. She also hit two triples, marking her first of the season. Lilly Land was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5.

First Coast Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Eagle's View, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

First Coast Christian skirted past Eagle's View 13-11 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
