Basketball Recap: Kemp Takes a Loss

Kemp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Mabank Panthers, falling 82-22. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-9.

Allie Pringle was Kemp's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Makayla Miller held things down on the boards with four rebounds.

Kemp's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Mabank, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-5.

Kemp will head out to challenge Van at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kemp is facing Van at the right time seeing as Van is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mabank, they will take on Athens at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
