After a string of three wins, Berean Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Chattanooga Central Pounders by a score of 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since January 30, 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Berean Academy lost, don't look at Daniel Wigginton. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 17 on his way to 20 points and five boards. Wigginton is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Stansifer, who posted 12 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds.

Berean Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Chattanooga Central, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.
