Soccer Game Preview: Coosa vs. Fannin County

Coosa is 0-4 against Fannin County since February of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Coosa Eagles will head out to face off against the Fannin County Rebels at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Coosa is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Mt. Zion get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Wednesday. The score was close at the half, but Coosa pulled away in the second half with four goals.

Meanwhile, Fannin County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 6-1 win. That looming 6-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Fannin County now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Coosa, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.
