Baseball Game Preview: Wynford Royals vs. Carey Blue Devils

The Wynford Royals will take on the Carey Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wynford is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Wynford fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Upper Sandusky on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rams by a score of 8-7.

Landon Miller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Brayden Campbell was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Carey earned an 8-3 victory over Leipsic on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Wynford's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Carey, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Wynford took their victory against Carey when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Royals repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
