Softball Recap: Richton Takes a Loss

Richton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-3 to the Columbia Wildcats. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 14-3 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Richton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cartier Daughdill, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Richton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Columbia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Richton will square off against Bay Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbia, they will be playing at home against Oak Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Oak Grove's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
