Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Riley Knipple and Jessica Campbell Lead Leon to Victory

Leon won the last time they faced Lowndes and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vikings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17.

Leading Leon to victory were Jessica Campbell and Riley Knipple. Campbell had ten digs and four assists, while Knipple hit 66.7% for 11 kills and seven digs and one block. Knipple is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Leon's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Lowndes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Leon and Lowndes will both be playing Madison County the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
