Volleyball Recap: Sabetha Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sabetha can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles on Monday. The Bluejays have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11.

Macy Karlin was the offensive standout of the contest as she had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matches.

Sabetha's loss dropped their record down to 4-31. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 23 of their last 24 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 35-4 record this season.

Sabetha does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Royal Valley on the 20th.
