Basketball Recap: Piedra Vista Gets the Win

Cibola came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Piedra Vista, but Tyra Holyan wouldn't allow it. The Piedra Vista Panthers took down the Cibola Cougars 61-42 on Friday thanks in part to Holyan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The win got Piedra Vista back to even at 9-9. As for Cibola, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Piedra Vista will head out to challenge Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cleveland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. As for Cibola, they will face off against Rio Rancho at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
