Softball Recap: New Washington Takes a Loss

New Washington lost against South Ripley back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

New Washington's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South Ripley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Washington will take on Crothersville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Ripley, they will square off against Jac-Cen-Del at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
