Baseball Recap: Cypress Lake Takes a Loss

Cypress Lake lost against Charlotte back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cypress Lake Panthers came up short against the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons, falling 14-2. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cypress Lake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luigi Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Cypress Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Charlotte, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Lake will venture away from home to square off against Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charlotte, they will head out to challenge Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charlotte will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
