Softball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Dillon's Winning Streak

Dillon dropped their record down to 10-14-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 11-5 to the Loris Lions. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

As for Loris, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

For Loris' part, Jaci Griffin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. What's more, Griffin posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Cannon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

As of now, neither Dillon nor Loris have any future games scheduled.
