Recap: McCormick Chiefs vs. Dixie Hornets
The McCormick Chiefs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-28 win over Dixie at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win McCormick has posted against Dixie since February 1, 2019.
Dixie's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jaylia Turner, who scored 13 points, and Hannah Carter who scored nine points.
McCormick's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCormick the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Whitmire at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Dixie will take on Ware Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Ware Shoals is ranked 268th, while Dixie is ranked 251st).
