Softball Recap: River View Beats Tri-Cities Prep for Their Ninth Straight Win

River View came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matches by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Bree Stacy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Courtney Morris was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

River View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

River View pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.7 runs over those games. As for Tri-Cities Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Looking ahead, River View will head out to challenge Goldendale at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Cities Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
