Softball Recap: South Vermillion Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Vermillion can now relate to. They fell just short of the Greencastle Tiger Cubs by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tiger Cubs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Rosie Travioli was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

South Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Greencastle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-13.

South Vermillion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greencastle, they will square off against Parke Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
