Gavin Gehrman gave up the fewest walks he has since back in April of 2024 on Friday. He made a splash, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He was up against Marysville-Pilchuck and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in March of 2024. Those seven strikeouts gave Gehrman a new career-high.

Gehrman's effort led Stanwood over Marysville-Pilchuck and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
