Volleyball Recap: Thornton Comes Up Short

The Thornton Wildcats came up short against the Butler Lynx on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Thornton couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Butler a tough time in the first set. The final score came out to 31-29, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Jalani Jones, who had 15 digs and two assists. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

Thornton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Butler, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-1-1.

Coming up, Thornton will head out to challenge Bremen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Butler, they will square off against Rauner at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
