Basketball Game Preview: Vallivue Falcons vs. Bishop Kelly Knights

Vallivue hasn't had much luck against Bishop Kelly recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vallivue Falcons will face off against the Bishop Kelly Knights at 7:30 p.m.

Vallivue is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Caldwell. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 16-8 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Bishop Kelly earned a 53-44 victory over Skyview on Tuesday.

Bishop Kelly's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Vallivue, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Vallivue took a serious blow against Bishop Kelly in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 72-26. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Vallivue was down 45-21.
