Soccer Recap: Benedictine Takes a Loss

Benedictine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Padua Franciscan Bruins, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Benedictine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 488th, while Padua Franciscan are ranked 100th).

Benedictine's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Padua Franciscan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2-3.

Looking ahead, Benedictine will venture away from home to face off against Harvey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Benedictine will be up against Harvey's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.9 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Padua Franciscan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky River at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
