Lincoln-Way Central strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Andrew Thunderbolts a 4-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Andrew's batters probably weren't too happy with Lisabella Dimitrijevic, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up zero walks). Dimitrijevic has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mia Degliomini, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Kayla Doerre also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lincoln-Way Central pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.6 runs this season. As for Andrew, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Lincoln-Way Central will square off against Franklin Central at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Flashes have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Andrew, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bradley-Bourbonnais at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thunderbolts 3.2, the Boilermakers 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
