Baseball Recap: Otay Ranch Wins Going Away Against Lincoln

Otay Ranch got themselves on the board against Lincoln on Saturday, but Lincoln never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 6-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Hornets on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

The result came thanks to Jake Medina's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Otay Ranch's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Galicia, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs Galicia has posted since back in April.

The victory made it two in a row for Otay Ranch and bumps their season record up to 20-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.

Otay Ranch has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hilltop on the 27th. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
