Basketball Recap: Lakeside Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeside Christian can now relate to. They lost to the Canterbury Crusaders on the road by a 39-21 margin on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Lakeside Christian had strong showings from Marli Chase, who posted four points and seven steals, and Lex Mello, who scored 12 points and six rebounds. Chase has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played.

Lakeside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Canterbury, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Lakeside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Canterbury has already played their next match (against Keswick Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
