Volleyball Recap: Franklin Academy Comes Up Short

Franklin Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the American Heritage Patriots, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

While Franklin Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-20.

Luis Albert paced Franklin Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Albert got some help from Alexander Noda and his 18 assists. Finally, Jalil Lowman kept Franklin Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Franklin Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for American Heritage, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.

Franklin Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Horeb Christian on the 22nd. American Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
