The Johnson Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Fairfield Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Johnson: 10.2, Fairfield: 10.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Johnson is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Foothill just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to the Mustangs. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Mustangs are ranked 523rd).

Johnson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Altayshia'E Lee and Anissa Zavala.

Meanwhile, Fairfield entered their tilt with Burbank on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Titans, posting a 50-6 victory on the road. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by 29 points or more this season.

Fairfield had a senior duo take command as Aubrey Stewart rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries and Sariah Williams gained 216 total yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Stewart has posted since back in September.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fairfield's defense and their seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Stewart and Williams, who racked up all seven sacks between them. Stewart also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Fairfield is undefeated when she posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Fairfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 363 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Fairfield, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Things could have been worse for Johnson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to Fairfield in their previous matchup back in September. Can Johnson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
