Softball Recap: Superior Comes Up Short

If Superior was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans came up short against the Hudson Raiders on Friday, falling 13-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Superior saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daisy Martinez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Superior's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hudson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Superior will square off against Proctor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hudson, they will take on Rice Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
