Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Northwestern couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 77-62 bruising from the Amery Warriors on Thursday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Amery, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amery, they will challenge Elk Mound on Saturday. Elk Mound will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Amery surely won't give up without a fight.
