KIPP Collegiate has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Douglass Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. KIPP Collegiate will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Douglass is ranked tenth).
KIPP Collegiate's 22-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were dealt a 96-46 defeat at the hands of Power Center Academy on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for KIPP Collegiate in their matchups with Power Center Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Douglass put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 56-50 W over Coahoma County.
KIPP Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Douglass, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
KIPP Collegiate took a serious blow against Douglass in their previous matchup back in February, falling 92-49. Can KIPP Collegiate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
