Softball Recap: Badin Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Badin put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Seton Saints get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by ten runs or more this season.

Phebe Kiefer looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Emily O'Brien was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Jessie Guiliano was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Badin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Seton, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Badin will host Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.88 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Seton, they will head out on the road to square off against Norwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
