Zachary had won eight straight games dating back to last season and Ian Edmond did his part to make it nine on Tuesday. The Broncos came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 74-70 W against the Natchitoches Central Chiefs with plenty of help from Edmond, who posted 33 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Zachary's record now sits at 4-0. As for Natchitoches Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Zachary will take on University Lab at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Natchitoches Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Hardin-Jefferson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Chiefs will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
